Wallingford Train Station, Delaware County, PA
I truly enjoy train stations. They are places of energy, visual and unseen. They are like sanctuaries that hold thoughts and dreams, happiness and sadness of comings and goings.
They are places of beginnings and endings.
When I see a train station I am momentarily carried into an imagined place of earlier days, of a slower pace of life.
I am grateful when I see old train stations that are maintained and well used such as the Wallingford Train Station.

Doug and Gloria, I like train stations too and this one in Delaware County PA looks absolutely charming!
I'm fond of train stations too. There is something about folks arriving and departing these special places - to and from destinations along the rails. The energy transported, has to leave a footprint of one kind or another.
Hi Roy, I have not made it to Longwood yet. I hope to get there soon. I do enjoy your photos from there. Thank you.
Gloria
Hi Maria, It is a nice station. Thank you for stopping by!

Have a Very Happy New Year!!
Doug and Gloria,
Just Stopping by to say Happy New Year , wishing you good health and all the best...
Hi Gloria - It rather reminds me of the train station in Wallingford, Connecticut! Very nice photos.
Happy New Year Doug and Doreen!
I was wondering when I read this if you have ever been to Jim Thorp. I love trains and train stations and the town of Jim Thorp has a sweet set up. When I was last back East, I went to Steam Town and boy those trains and Engines are amazing. I must have a bucket load of photos and I should show some of them here in the Rain sometime.
I hope 2012 will be a Wonderful, Happy and Prosperous year for all of us.
Gloria I love photos of old buildings and writing posts about them. We both live in areas with a fantastic supply. I just put one up on a pre-Civil War church
Beautiful train station. Happy New Year and I wish you much success this year!
The same to you Gary. Thanks for stopping by!
Gloria
I would love to visit this old train station. We had one in Riverside that was once booming, but it is long gone. :(((
Michele, Happy 2012 to you also!
Chris, I guess every state must have a Wallingford. That is great to hear there is a train station in Wallingford, CT also.
William, Thank you. Yes I have been to Jim Thorpe and it would be great if you were to do a post with some of your great photos. Here is one of mine.
Karen, Yes we do live in such historically rich areas. I enjoy it as you seem to also.
Debra, thank you and the same to you!
Joni, It is sad when such old buildings are let go.
Take care everyone!
