Hi Doug and Gloria, what a great idea.  I just hate the idea of wasting good compost materials in the garbage can.

Can residents pick up the aged compost, too?  That would be an even greater idea.

Liz, I'm with you on that.  I do compost some things in my yards like grass and leaves.

Simone, I believe so, but have not visited there myself.  Yes that would be an even greater idea!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Gloria and Doug - I find it interesting that you have a photo of a flower next to this post.  I have a compost pile in my back yard, and I have flowers growing all over it.  Great localism post.

Chris, These flowers actually came in with compost I purchased a few years ago and now they just keep growing.  They are a bulb.  Do you have them in your area?

Robert, Such great soil can be made with compost!  Good point about landfills!

Roy, Your flowers look great!  I bet they have some compost feeding your lovely plants and flowers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Gloria - Those flowers don't look familiar to me, so I don't think they are in my yard at least.  : )
