Delaware County, Pennsylvania Real Estate Blog: It's All Relative

It's All Relative

real estate delaware county paIt's All Relative

I ran across this Gary Larson cartoon today. I had my usual chuckle and then I was reminded of how our personal worlds are full of our own things, good and bad.

Often in our full lives we do not see what is happening in someone else's world because we do not take the time to listen or to even outright ask or care.

Yes this comic hits a funny bone for me and it is a reminder that life is all relative.

Good cartoon, certainly illustrating your point. We often are caught up in our own lives. It takes deliberate skill to hear others.

lol, this is so true. It's very easy to become so self-absorbed that we overlook what is happening with the people around us.

So very true!  We all see things through our own eyes, not taking the time to look through someone else's!

Very cute, Gloria. Reminds me of the 600lb gorilla in the room. I ran across an old real estate related cartoon that I had in a drawer--I'll have to scan it.

That's a cute one.  Of the two, I think I'd almost rather deal with the snake.  Man I hate spiders!

Once when I was a young bride, we went camping.  The father of most of my children was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved fishing and hunting. . .Me, not so much!  Anyway, imagine my horror when he is away from our campsite fishing, and I go to step into our tent, and there is a big snake on my sleeping bag.  You could have heard me screaming in four counties.  I will never know whether it was a Rattler or a Gopher Snake.  Both look very similar, and I didn't stick around to determine which it was.

Perfect title, I used to play basketball with Gary Larson, pretty normal guy who would have guested he has a zany-clever side to him.

Jon, Yes it is so easy to get caught up in our things and not see something right in front of us.

Raine, This cartoon makes me chuckle every time!

Tony, As Jon said it takes effort to do that.

Toni, That's a good one too!

Mike, Yes spiders have too many legs and are probably quite large in a tropical setting.

Craig, Gary Larson just has a way with words and capturing a moment.  Such great humor!

Myrl, OMG!  What a horrid time that must have been. I would have done the same thing!  Did you camp after that again?  I hope so.  Great story!

Adrian, That's great that you played ball with him.....I don't recall if he did anything about basketball...

Thanks all for stopping by!
