Solar panels have come to Media, Delaware County PA and they have landed on the rooftop of the Hair Stop on State Street! That's great! Someone is utilizing the power of the sun to create electricity for that building! Great to see them here in Media!

It's nice to know that we are now taking advantage of this cheap, clean, and free source of energy. The sun. We can also make or buy passive solar panels to make heat. That's my next step for my sun porch for next winter. It get up to 55 degrees in there with me doing nothing except opening the shades. I think I can get it to 75 degrees with a passive solar panel that I'm going to make this spring. More on this later.
Gloria, I so want solar panels for my house. I'm going to have to wait until they're smaller I guess.
Doug and Gloria - It looks like a neat little "Norman Rockwell" town. Even with the solar panels:-)
Doug & Gloria - Going "Green" is always a good sign. They may not always look atractive, but they get the job done and save a lot of money in the long run.
We’ve had solar panels on commercial buildings since about the mid-1970s I think. They say that things start in California and move eastward across the nation, but it sure took a long time to get to Pennsylvania! J♪♫♫♪
Ken, Yes the sun makes all the difference. I look forward to hearing about your endeavors making and working with solar panels!
All the best.
Gloria
Gloria,
It is so nice to see solar panels, because we all benefit, wishing you a delightful February. A
Good shot. We will be seeing many more solar panels. Have an outstanding week!
Connie, Yes it would be wonderful to have solar panels! Maybe like most things with technology they will get smaller and cheaper in price if one just waits a few years!
Myrl, It is a sweet town. Having the trolley down one of the main streets adds to that Norman Rockwell feel.
Kristine, Media is very progressive compared to many towns around here. Glad they are taking the steps needed no matter what the look, it is worth it!
Jim, Yes it does seem to all start in California or Seattle...must be that Pacific Ocean or living on the edge with earthquakes or all those ideas flowing in and out of Hollywood! I'm glad things are finally catching on here!
