Jane, They are happy campers. This house has been host to mallards for as long as I can remember. It's on a moderately busy side street, yet the ducks come and hang out!
That's a great shot. Before the snow of course.... Nice picture... with the happy campers all in the unfrozen spot...
HA! I wonder if it is where the neighborhood kids go to feed the ducks?
Robert, Yes this was taken on Saturday December 18th. I bet they are still hanging out there even with the snow. Will have to drive by again to see what is up.

I just posted some pictures of mallards from Flamingo Lagoon at the San Diego Zoo. They were really having fun yesterday.
