Toll Increases in Pennsylvania and The E-Z Pass
So you have resisted the idea of getting an E-Z Pass because you hardly use the turnpike or you go to the Jersey shore only a few times over the summer. Well think twice, it was announced July 13th by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission that a 10 percent increase in tolls in Pennsylvania will take effect in January 2011. BUT if you are an E-Z Pass customer you will only have a 3 percent increase. That is a real savings.
Doug has had a pass for many years and it makes life easier when traveling. Come January it will help us save some money as well. We do not use the toll roads on a regular basis but when we do we often avoid delays at tollbooths which is an added plus to using the E-Z Pass.

We have one toll road here in San Diego. The company that built it just announced its bankruptcy a couple of months ago, so who knows what's going to happen to the toll road.
Wow, I remember when that road opened. I was living in Tustin at the time. See, we are stuck here, if you don't use the toll roads the surface roads will take you forever to get anywhere.
