Get Yourself Into A Pickle On The 4th Of July At Linvilla Orchards, Media, Pennsylvania
Cucumbers are in season and Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pennsylvania is having its Annual Pickle Run starting at 8:30 AM. There are two trails to choose from: the 3 Mile Trail and the 5 Mile Trail, give or take a little.
If running is not your jar of pickles, then come on out and be part of the crowd that cheers these seasoned cucumbers on. Besides the race there are many things to see and do at Linvilla, like checking out the animals, ducks, birds and people. Get real close to some animals that you just see on TV or read about in books. Be ready to have fun in the big playground just right for children who love to climb and slide. Of course remember to bring a little bit of the orchard home with you in the form of a delicious fruit pie or a jar of jam made from the fruits of the orchard itself.
Linville Orchards is open year round and embraces what each season has to offer and this Pickle Run just goes to show that no vegetable is over looked. I know from my garden that cucumbers are coming in strong right now, so yahoo! Linvilla Orchards for honoring the cucumber in this fun way!
