It's a building located in Delaware County that has always caught my eye
because of the unusual brick work.
Would love to know the story behind such work!

Looks like a builder I know. Scary! It wasn't supposed to look that way.
Well, let see. It looks like an experiment that did not go well, or a union labor strike back up teen years back, hired unskilled brick layers. LOL

I love it! Artisic freedom indeed!

Now that is some interesting bricklaying! Kind of scary though.
Doug, looks like someone needed to get the job done quickly.
It is interesting I think. Gives the building some character and it is unique.
I like it alot. Thanks for posting
I have always loved that style of masonry. . .I have heard it referred to as "Drunkin' Bricklaying."
Hi Doug and Gloria, actually, that is pretty hard to do. I doubt if you could pull it off drunk.
Hi Doug and Gloria, I know the building a friend of mine lived in a apartment there. I do know it was made to look that way from what i once heard it was a old stlye not from our country that never seemed to make it here.
There is a story about the building i have only heard bits and pieces of it.

Jim, that's pretty bad if your job ended up looking like that and that is not what you had in mind.
Roy, like your humor....union labor strike....
Debi, it does have eye appeal and it works.
And Amy it is scary too, if that is not what the owner wanted.
Leah, I wish I knew the story.....
Sharon, Yes, very unique.
David, you're welcome.
Myrl, you have seen buildings like this before? Where? Are there many in your area? Thanks for giving me the name of the style....makes sense to me.
Frank, you're right, it is a sound structure, so much thought did go into it for sure.
Jeff, please do share more about this building!!

I saw one comment about getting the job done quickly. I suspect that was anything but quick to do those circular and diagonal patterns like that.
Jim, I would love to talk to the builders to hear their thoughts and how they actually planned it out. ---Gloria
Doug WOW WOW WOW is all I can say, I would be afraid to move in as my residence. Once you have story post update of why's. Have a great week.
WOW is right Lynn!
