Wordless Wednesday - A Head Above The Crowd

A Head Above The Crowd

Sunflowers greeted us everywhere along a stretch of back road in Northern Maryland the end of this summer, then we were given another treat of seeing a rider on horseback.

Doug and Gloria,

A wonderful post.  It is such a delight to live in this beautiful part of the country.

Doug and Gloria,   OMG I LOVE it - sunflowers are one of my favorites, and I have never seen a field with that many.  So very cool!  And on a dark and dreary day it just gave me a bit of sunshine.  Thanks!!  Have a nice day!  ...geri

Hey, Doug and Gloria. This reminds me of the field beside our house. Thanks.

Gloria and Doug--I love the burst of color provided by a field of bright flowers. Wouldn't have known the person was on horseback but then I guess to been seen over the sunflowers he would have been VERY tall otherwise.

Gloria, how neat! I was wondering how we could see his head, but the horse makes a lot of sense... :-) Beautiful flowers!

Hello Doug and Gloria, that is a fun scene to see the abundance of large flowers, with the rider to provide perspective on how tall they can be!  John

Gloria, I LOVE sunflowers.  Everytime I see them, they make me smile.  I've never seen a full field of them or I'd still be grinning.  Love your title too!

Ron, Yes we do live in a wonderful part of the country with every season offering different beauty.

Geri, I had never seen a field of sunflowers either before this encounter and they were just everywhere!  I felt like a little kid amongs joyful creatures with bee and butterflies and then the horse and rider, It was very magical.

Jim and Maria, What a treat to live near so many flowers!  You must be laughing at my response!

Teri, Yes these sunflowers were quite tall and they were not heavily ladden with their seeds, so no droopy heads yet.

Marney and John, Yes it was really neat to see and hear the horse galloping behind the scene.

Lora, I took so many pictures for they made me smile too!  It was such a treat.

Gene, You are so right it was one of those moments  It all came together and my camera gave me the clear photo!

Barbara, So glad to make your day brighter.

Gary, Yes the winter is approaching and thoughts of warmer times do help.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR RESPONSES!  Gloria

Doug and Gloria, I haven't seen this many sunflowers since I was a little girl in Kansas!  They are beautiful.
