Media Fellowship House Offers Grant Money For First Time Home Buyers In Delaware County, Pennsylvania

Grant money for First Time Home Buyers in Delaware County, Pennsylvania may be in your reach, depending on your income level, your credit score and your willingness to take time out of your schedule for two, four-hour classes and to meet with a counselor.  If you are hoping to purchase your first home in Delaware County you may be able to get a $5000 grant to help defray your closing costs at the time of your purchase.

Media Fellowship House (MFH) is the name of the program that offers this particular grant and the classes you need to take are held two Saturday's every month.  Actually it is considered a loan for the first 5 years.  If you sell your home in the first five years you will have to repay a portion of the load back based on the amount of time you have been living in your new home. If you do not sell your house after five years, no repayment is required, thus a grant.

Whoever is going to be on your mortgage must complete these classes and the counseling sessions prior to putting an offer in on a house.  Once you have these steps completed, your documentation is ready to go and you can begin to look for a house. 

This program covers most of Delaware County.  Upper Darby has it's own program.

A First Time Home Buyer also includes individuals who have not had their name on a deed and/or mortgage in the last three years or more.

When I was a First Time Home Buyer in Delaware County, my agent did not inform me of this program, which I was qualified for, and I lost out on this great opportunity. We hope that you can benefit from this great program!

Get Yourself Into A Pickle On The 4^th Of July At Linvilla Orchards, Media, Pennsylvania

Cucumbers are in season and Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pennsylvania is having its Annual Pickle Run starting at 8:30 AM.  There are two trails to choose from: the 3 Mile Trail and the 5 Mile Trail, give or take a little.

If running is not your jar of pickles, then come on out and be part of the crowd that cheers these seasoned cucumbers on.  Besides the race there are many things to see and do at Linvilla, like checking out the animals, ducks, birds and people.  Get real close to some animals that you just see on TV or read about in books.  Be ready to have fun in the big playground just right for children who love to climb and slide.  Of course remember to bring a little bit of the orchard home with you in the form of a delicious fruit pie or a jar of jam made from the fruits of the orchard itself.

Linville Orchards is open year round and embraces what each season has to offer and this Pickle Run just goes to show that no vegetable is over looked.  I know from my garden that cucumbers are coming in strong right now, so yahoo! Linvilla Orchards for honoring the cucumber in this fun way!

How To Get A Copy Of Your Deed in Delaware County, Pennsylvania

If you are in need of a copy of the deed to your home or property, this is all you have to do:

-----  Go to the Delaware County Courthouse located at 201 West Front Street, Media, Pennsylvania 19063(610) 891-4384, anytime Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between 8:30 AM and 4 PM 

-----  Bring change for the parking meter if you are driving 

-----  You will need to go through a metal detector after you enter the courthouse 

-----  The office you want to go to is the Recorder of Deeds Room 108, which is on the main level all the way in the back of the building near a set of stairs

-----  There is a $4 fee at this time to receive your copy

-----  No appointment necessary
