Rose Tree Tavern Renovation Is Underway in Media, Pennsylvania!
Rose Tree Tavern had been sitting vacant for many years, with its windows bricked up and not doing much but slowly losing its roofing material with the changes in the seasons.
The Inn used to sit real close to the intersection of Providence Road (252) and Rose Tree Road. Built in 1739 this tavern was built close to an intersection as many taverns were in those days to accommodate travelers on their travels around the county.
In 2004 it was moved back off of that intersection and has sat quietly bricked up and waiting for its renovation.
Now the renovation is underway and when the work is finished in approximately a year's time it will be the new location for the Visitor Bureau of Delaware and the Delaware County Sports Hall of Fame.
The revived tavern will bring added life to the Rose Tree Park and offer much to the rich history of Delaware County.

The renovation has begun......the roof is being replaced.....
.....new pathways being made.
It will be great to have this building back in operation again!
