The Pagoda in Reading, PA - Day Trip from Delaware County PA

The Pagoda in Reading PA is roughly 60 miles northwest of Delaware County.

Pagoda in Reading PAIt is worthwhile to visit this beautiful structure, because it is unusual, has a wonderful vantage point of the valley below and is quite amazing that it is so close to Delaware County.

We visited recently on an overcast day, but we still were able to see Reading in the valley below. We took time to enjoy some local offerings in their cafe with a view. We had a local hot dog with sauerkraut, and a local soda, mine Sarsaparillas and Doug a birch beer.

A $1 donation is all that is required to climb the 87 steps to the top for a 365 degree view.

There was a private party going on in one of the rooms half way up.  Rentals are one way of bringing in money to keep the Pagoda open to the public.

If you are wondering what to do on a weekend one day soon, check this place out.
