It is difficult to find cleaning agents made with chemicals that are nontoxic and comfortable to be used in your home. All natural cleaners may not be very accessible in the stores, however you’ll find that homemade cleaning products with essential oils are easy (and cheap) to make with just some common household ingredients and customizable scents.
Homemade Cleaning Products with Essential Oils - Make Your Home Spotless
Essential Oils are a great option to clean your home with. Here are some DIY homemade cleaning products that you can make with essential oils such as lavender, citrus and peppermint oils.
Base Ingredients
Castile Soap: This is one of the most versatile cleaning ingredients you can own. It can be used for laundry detergent, dish soaps and all purpose kitchen or bathroom cleaners as well.
Baking Soda: It isn’t just for whitening teeth and keeping the fridge smell fresh. It is actually a great gentle exfoliate for dirt and grime in grout and sinks or tubs.
White Vinegar: One of the cheapest yet strong ingredient in any cleaning recipe. It has natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties as well as cuts breaks down grease.
Salt: Surprisingly, salt can easily get off rust and soap scum because of it’s naturally abrasive nature.
Essential Oils: These are naturally purifying and add a pleasant scent to cleaning products that can have an overwhelming smell. The ones most commonly used in cleaning products are lemon or citrus oil, lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus.Recipes
